A word of caution

I was waiting in line at Wally World the other day behind a couple with a toddler. They let the toddler run free and seemed completely OK with her grabbing candy items off of the impulse buying rack, sticking them in her mouth then either throwing them on the floor or putting them back on the rack. On occasion dad (or grandpa, the couple appeared to be 35ish) would pick them up off the floor and return them to the rack after his (grand)daughter had slobbered all over them. When they got through the line I grabbed all I could remember she slobbered on and gave them to the checkout lady who threw them away. The word of caution is if you grab stuff off of the impulse rack in the check out line you might be getting more than you think you are.

That’s just plain disgusting. Unfortunately in today’s world if you had said something to the couple it might have sparked a rather unpleasant incident.

Can you imagine what kind of "adult" that insufferable little brat will probably grow up to be? Sometimes I think "family planning" needs to be retroactive- - - -up to about age 21!

That is exactly why I didn't say anything to them.

I slobber on them indirectly without picking them up. So sue me!

Its dirty pool to even have an impulse rack.

My son came home from college mister smart aleck and smarted off to his mom not knowing I was standing behind him. All six foot one and 250 pounds turned and looked down at me with that look and I told him don't even think about it.

I once told my Mother just what was on my mind, I awoke to a Firefighter standing over me (before EMT's). Mom laid me out with a cast iron skillet, she thought she had killed me. grin

My Father was a one warning Dad. A repeat offense brought out the razor strap. Also hard as a rock and tough as nails but gentle and nourishing. With that said my younger brother and I saw two boys racing up and down the aisles of a super market so we joined in. As we rounded the corner near the checkout lanes we were suddenly two feet off the floor---one kid in each of Dads hands. When we protested that the other kids were doing it he said "they are sons of ignorant and ill mannered parents, you're not". A woman protested that those were her kids and Dad just said "self explanatory".

I don't know how many parents I have told deal with it now or deal with the Police later at a much higher cost. Each time it has met to deaf ears. I have many that I put in Juvie jail later and their parents met with deaf ears. Ed
