Going to have cataract surgery on my right eye next month and the Prolensa eye drops from Cosco, CVS, and others cost $315-$325 in the U.S. for 3ml. For the exact same thing out of Canada from Northwest Pharmacy the price is $59. Enlighten me.

Careful folks this could break our rules.

Evan, since you know your going to need them just get your Dr to give you the prescription early and order the lower cost meds.

Check your PM's, Evan. The drops I used pre and post surgery were not covered by any kind of insurance, and they were nowhere near that costly.

I think this is safe because it doesn't get political: https://www.singlecare.com/blog/how-to-get-cheaper-prescriptions/ Now if I was to go into the "why" on reason number one........... (PM sent on the why)

Had mine surgery/implants 7 years ago and used only the little bottle that the doctor gave me. Evan, as always, squeeze the doctor for something that works and less costly. I do it all the time.......once I had to tell the doctor "I will not, and cannot afford what your prescribing and thats it. Well, he gave me a sample and a RX for something else and all went well.
.....IF you have a supplement Rx policy check the formulary for the drugs you need....with your doctor. Surely you can do better than the first sernario.

Good luck, you are going to be fine and this type surgery has advanced big time in the recent years. You'll be glad you did and have minimum discomfort.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

If there was a reason for the price. I take 3 medications the price a few years back went from $50 t0 $16 no reason now no explanation that I could understand, the last I filled 2 weeks ago, and now it is $32. That is a copay on all of them.
