Got my rebuilt 4-speed in my 61' Apache.
Can I fill the transmission fluid through the shift opening?

Thanks - GPK1961

After filling it through the top, leave the side fill plug out long enough to let any "over-fill" have time to drip out.

Make sure you're using Transmission Mineral Oil...not 85/90 gear lube.

Thanks for the reply. Hope to get the hydraulics bled this week and see if she goes! GPK1961

Filling thru the top is so easy. Sure wish my gearbox was that clean. Nice!
