I looked for the rust oleum paint you used but no one had it locally so I found home hardware carries there own brand of appliance paint. It went on nice I used thin coats was a little worried about dry time as I was painting outside and did not want the bugs to start landing on it but it dried in a few minutes .I did 4 coats and under it was j/b weld for the cracks and a few coats of primer.

Just be careful handling it until it fully cures. Mine was dry to the touch the next day and I got careless, bumped it and took a little chip out of the paint. I sprayed a little paint into the cap and used a q-tip to dab a little paint on the chip, making sure I overfilled it. After storing it in a safe place for a few weeks, I used 2000 grit wet and dry paper on it and followed with compound. The chip blended in perfectly.

Enjoy your new wheel!

I waited about three weeks before I sanded and rubbed it out. Put it on a week or so later.
