Sorry I have not started some threads on the Reunion yet.
Vicki and I have had a busy spring and we just got back from the Southern Stovebolt Jamboree Sunday.
It was a great time!!, Check out the pictures in the Southern Bolter's threads.

Next on the list is to contact the Aldersons and see if they will be hosting a Friday evening BBQ and shop tour.
It is a must see place and well worth the time to attend. If that does not happen, we will make other plans.

I am hoping we can set up HQ Friday afternoon as we have done in the past. So we need Mongo to give us some info on that.
Hopefully the park is not flooded this summer?

T-Shirt design is already done and I need to contact Shelly on the cost. That thread will be started next week and we'll start taking orders soon.
Shaky61 did the design and he will be involved with that.

Oh, and Vicki's cookies went over big at the Southern Jamboree and she said she would make them for the Reunion.

Don, I think that Kansas City has decided to skip flooding this year and keep the weather report as unseasonable, either unseasonably cool, wet or hot. This weekend we are doing hot. Come show time? You rolls your dice and takes your chances. But it will be good to have the show back regardless.

A one day show is pretty impractical for the long haulers. Looks like it will be up to Stovebolt to up the wow factor and make it worthwhile to drive several hundred miles.

Contacted Wayne Anderson and the Friday night BBQ and shop equipment tour is on!
If anyone has any pictures of the past BBQ’s, please post them.

Have not heard from Mongo yet, but I’m sure we can meet up at the park Friday afternoon to set up the Stovebolt HQ.
All are welcome to enjoy some relaxed time. Before it gets really going.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a hotel to stay at near the park?

Don

I am a little confused. This will be my 12th year and years past I would get there on Thursday because that was when the BBQ was, Friday was set up day and show day was Saturday, and awards day was Sunday which I never stayed for. So what will be different this year?

Ron, the hosting club quit having the Friday night cruise in a few years ago.
They would use Friday as a set up day for venders and the Swap Meet.
So the Alderson’s BBQ moved to Friday night, show Saturday and awards Sunday.
The change this year is the awards given out Saturday afternoon and cleanup Sunday.
You always leave early Sunday and didn’t hang around for the awards and cleanup.

From what I read online, they don't have exclusive access to the park on Friday for setup. It seems setup is Saturday morning, awards Saturday afternoon, cleanup Saturday evening. They do not have the park for Sunday, so no church services, teardown/cleanup, etc.

Thanks Kevin! It then looks like a busy day Saturday..
I’ll contact Mongo and verify your findings. '
