Kent: Thanks a lot, that would really help me out. Thought about trying to make one but looks pretty difficult from what pictures I have seen of it. I'm very new to the website and don't think I have been granted PM privileges yet. Everything I have read says this 1957 235 should of had the baffle but didn't. I want to add the PCV to where the draft tube is and pretty sure it should have the baffle plate installed to do this. When I'm granted private messaging capability I will get in touch with you. Thanks again, Paul
If I remember correctly you need 5 moderated posts before you are good to go and can send private messages. I will hold the piece for you until you can private message me. I am thinking $10 would suffice to cover the cost of shipping priority mail to you. Kent
Ignore the advice you'll find on some websites that claims you can simply add a freeze plug with a hole and a grommet in it to replace the road draft tube and install a PCV. You'll create massive oil consumption. The right way is to add a baffled standpipe that puts the PCV valve up close to the height of the valve cover like the original equipment PCV system. Jerry

Here's the drawing from the '55 truck assembly manual for the optional factory PCV system used on trucks expected to be idling more than moving. It should give you some good ideas on how to plumb your system. Note the height of the standpipe, as Jerry pointed out. A vented oil filler cap with filtering media could be used in lieu of the hose between air cleaner and valve cover.
A great many thanks to Kent (Lightholder's Dad) for supplying me with the baffle plate my engine was missing. I'm also adding a raised tube for the PCV install as Doug and Jerry suggest. My valve cover already had a small tube brazed on top to run a 3/8" hose to the air filter though I'm going to run it to a separate lawn mower air filter so there isn't any vacuum for the PCV to fight. My engine is going into a homemade forklift so it doesn't have the speed for the draft tube to work properly. A picture of the forklift and story is in the welcome center called 'From out on the farm'.
