Stovebolters; I am planning to go to a hydroboost configuration for my 52, 3100. I am looking for a firewall mounted, forward mount, brake and clutch assembly that would have an appropriate brake pedal ratio for power brakes (somewhere in the 4.x to 5.x ratio rather than manual ratios of around 6:1. I am aware that we can modify pedal assembles to change the connection point of the master cylinder to achieve desired ratio, so if that is your experience base, I would also benefit from your wisdom on this topic, but I would prefer to purchase something that is not out of place with the electronic throttle pedal matched to the LS3 under the hood. As an example, when I was planning on a manual braking system, I was targeting Wilwood 340-14360 for a brake/clutch assembly. As Always, thanks for sharing your experiences around this topic.

When I lengthened my pedal to locate it in a more comfortable position, I was surprised how much it increased the travel distance. I'm around 6-1/2:1

I pulled a Hydroboost unit and pedal assembly off a Chevy Express van in the U-pull yard. I also got a pedal assembly from a Jeep TJ. The Jeep and GM van use the same mounting bolt pattern. The only problem is the Jeep and van use different pedal locations and pushrod lengths. The folks at WFO concepts have a firewall spacer that solves that. I might have $50 invested so far in the conversion on my 54. If you go the U-pull route, make sure you get all the hydraulic lines you can, I made the mistake of not doing that.
