Rear shock mount 50 gmc pickup

Can someone tell me which way the lower rear shock mounts fit on my 1950 gmc pickup. I took them off and can’t remember which way they came off. Does the bracket ( L shape) point upward or downward?

Factory Assembly Manual says downward also. I had to recheck when I installed mine.
