Mrs. Wally and I took our Dodge diesel with truck camper on its back on a 7100 mile trip from western Washington to Alaska and back via Canada. 2 months. I can't imagine doing this in an electric RV.

The 7100 mileage is somewhat small because we used the Alaska Ferry to get up from Prince Rupert to Haines.

I still have my Dad's ,1918 20-40 Rumley tractor than burn kerosene. When the tractor was made kerosene was 3 cents a gallon, now 8$ a gallon. So will gas do the same thing?

No gasoline but diesel might. Is there a Rumley forum somewhere?

I gotta ask. What did you do when all cars had to have turn signals? Seat belts? Smog equipment?

Well, I know that in the past I walked 3 miles to school uphill both ways in the hot sun and cold coastal winds so I guess I will have to do the same now.

Put wire wheels on it, and mount playing cards to hit the spokes. :>)

I think what freaks people out is that when a country announces that all vehicles will be electric by a certain year, they think every vehicle will need to be electric. But I take it as all new vehicles manufactured and sold will have be electric. In my 2 cent opinion, it will be along time before gasoline is phased out. But I agree it could get expensive.

It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.

I think those with strong feelings on the subject should let their elected officials know. If we don't let them know what *we* want, we will get what *they* want.

Not a political rant, just sayin'

Ron -- If more people would do it and be less complacent, we wouldn't be where we are today.
