I just watched Two Lane Blacktop for the first time in years. Love that classic.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

My tastes run toward the lighter side. American Graffiti is about as cool a car movie as you can get. JMO

On the animated side, the original CARS is one of my favorites.

If you liked AG then you will remember the race at the end where Harrison Ford loses and wrecks his '55. That exact "55 is the main car in Two Lane Blacktop smile

My son got me the video of Cars years ago and I still have not figured out why. Never watched it.

Thunder Road is also one of my favorites. My first car when I was 16 was a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 312 Thunderbird engine. I traded the Ford for a 1960 Chevy Bel Air with a 235 stovebolt, a much more dependable engine. The market the FBI agent walks into in Thunder Road belonged to a relative in Asheville, North Carolina.

Saw Strategic Air Command with Jimmy Stewart the other day, most AD trucks in a movie I have seen.

thumbs_up

When I was a teenager, I saw it 4 times at the theatre. There was a special viewing in Omaha a few years back at the Joslyn art museum. They had a of the couple actors describing the actual filming.

The success of that movie allowed Star Wars to be made.

Yeah John, I’ve seen the movie at least 10 times and I now have a copy for my viewing. I lusted after the ‘58 Impala and Miller’s yellow Coupe.
