You can start a Project Journal, you can post all of your story and all of your plans there along with any progress you make. You can also post a thread in the Gallery and share your story and pictures there. Great old truck.

Project Journal Forum is the place to share/blog about your cool find. The Gallery is not meant to be a continuous running narrative but just to share your Trucks history with us.

That is a beautiful awesome giant! Congratulations! I wonder if her name has anything to do with a brand of gas from the past.

Cool find!! Ethyl was the nick-name for "premium" fuel back in the day, maybe where the name came from, or somebody's wife, aunt, mom, or who knows?

Judging by the scrapers in the background ... would the different tanks be for different products like gas, diesel, engine oil, gear oil and hydraulic fluid?

I love her name “Ethyl”, brilliant! 69Cuda is absolutely right, that it is related to premium gas. Here is a link that explains where the term ethyl came from in reference to gasoline that I found really interesting.

Thanks guys for the kudos on my truck and the info on where to post! So, should I post in the Journals page or Big Bolts?

I named her Ethyl after the old premium gas. I thought it was fitting name for my old girl. The guy I bought it from linked all the tanks together and hauled his diesel fuel in it for those scrapers. I will replumb them back the way they were. I also race and use Torco fuels, so I thought it would be cool to get my distributor buddy to get me those large decals they put on the fuel drums to use. Get a different race fuel octane in each tank and even Nitromethane if I can get it!

As I posted above, do your build blog in Project Journals Forum. Ask your questions in Big Bolts Forum. Simple as that.
