Welcome to Stovebolt. Hey hey hey, what a treasure. Thanks for the pictures and be careful, very careful getting it home. See you around the garage forums.
Thanks for the info. And yes, we'll be very careful diving home. We're going all backroads to limit the traffic exposure. If it can't be driven safely, I'll have to tow it. Figured out the picture attachments. Can I still link photos using an address? Or are we suppose to just use the attachments?
As per requested, here are some bus pics. The story is that this bus was previously converted into a makeshift camper. We got it running and drive it about 60 miles home. You literally cannot wipe the smile off your face while driving one of these!
We have our own plans to convert it so step one was gut it completely. We were in the process of moving and it made for a great moving truck! Now it sits, waiting it's turn. It is currently referred to as "the hardware store" it's got a little of everything inside.

Indeed it does! That bus will do 50-55 mph. When we start our conversion the bus will become a diesel. Mainly for safe cruising down the highways. It's quite possible that the new-to-me 47' will end up with that 261.
