I am in need of a v8 bell housing with engine mount provisions. My 235 head has bit the dust and it’s time to do a swap.

Sorry I was to vague. My truck is a 1951 3100. The bell housing I’m looking for is from a 58-62 truck or 55-57 bel air with a v8. I’m sure the bell housing was used in other vehicle, but those are the ones I know.

The truck and car bellhousings of that era have completely different mount locations. I have both available which one do you want?
The truck version is 55-59 V-8 and 63-66 V-8 and 6 cyl. It mounts to the crossmember. The car version is 55-57 V-8 car which mounts to frame horns.

You are probably aware of this but if your pickup has the stock crossmember it will not accept the later bellhousing. If you can find a 54 crossmember it will bolt in . Or a 54 frame

The stock crossmember has been modified in the past to fit the current bell housing for the 1960 235 that’s in it. I have no idea what this bell housing came out of, just that the crossmember has been modified. I can modify the crossmember again to fit either.

The center hole is also different between car and truck. What transmission are you using? That will be needed so Fred can get you the correct BH for your setup.
