I'd like to say "Stop" Spam/Robo Call interruptions but that's not what the following does. The steps described below will stop your phone from ringing and interrupting the moment if the call is from someone your phone doesn't know.

I went to phone setting on my iPhone 6 Plus and with a couple steps made changes that will only let my phone ring if the call is from a number that's already in my contact numbers list. It "Should" reduce interruptions from spammers.

I can't say for sure, but my guess is most phones have this option. On my phone I went to Settings, scrolled down to Phone and clicked on phone, then scrolled down to Silence Unknown Callers, then activate. This will silence unknown callers and send them to voice mail. They'll show up on your recent call list.

I'm hopeful.

Sounds good but everyone that I might want to talk to may not be on the list. If it is a commercial business they may have multiple lines, like my dentist or my doctors are in a group or even my plumber because the individual guys use their personal phones to tell you they are the way and they have multiple numbers.

In today’s world, if your call is important, you better be prepared to leave a message. Unless I’m expecting a call from a number not listed in my contacts I will not answer. Leave a message and if it’s important I will call back. If I call someone and they don’t answer I don’t get frustrated I just wait for the option and leave a message. I do get frustrated when they don’t call back in a timely manor. I hate robocalls and the do not call list is a big joke.

Dial a number that you know is not working, and record the "Beep-Bip-Boop" tone that the phone company plays before advising you that "The number you have dialed is not in service". Make that the first thing that plays as your voice mail greeting, followed by about 5 seconds of silence before you begin your normal greeting. Most robocall programs are designed to hang up and eliminate your number from their database when those tones play.

Jerry has the right idea. in Florida we have a do not call list which one can get on your house or business. My old Apple 5 has a call block on it for any numbers that call and you don't want them to call back. Doc.
