PS mine looked like that one, then I used 0000 steel wool with Brasso...made it look like new.

There were a few years were the trim on the dash was painted so you may want to see what year truck was that had the ash tray on the e bay site . From the look of your dash it should be shinny to match

Yeah, what Kevinski said. I think my ashtray front is stainless (haven't seen it in a few months). That one looks kind of pitted, but could be restored if it gets paint.

Thanks Jerry, you are correct. When I took my ash tray apart, the original paint was evident behind the handle. The rest of the front was 'painted' silver.

As we discussed, the high rib is painted silver and the low rib is painted to match the cab interior color. This applies to the radio grille, ash tray and glove compartment door. The stainless trim is above and below.
