The clocks are not as rare as that beautiful housing.

The same/correct size clocks were obtained from three companies by GM for cars and trucks (for several years).
I think that all/most of the clocks were wind-up.

The winders were at different locations. [google.com]

I cannot recall if the clocks had a fitting for a light bulb (one rear-image is attached)?

I will add more photos of fronts/rears if anyone is interested (or, go to the for-sale links and look at their photos).

What material are the housings made from ?

Cast aluminum, same as orig.

More importantly, TCLEDERMAN, is finding one that WORKS!

Yes, that is the light mount in the back. Most of these have been over twisted with springs broken.
