I am restoring my 1962 C-10 I am finishing all the metal work but am not sure if this should be straight or not. It’s the front clip might have been bent by the bumper brackets or it was made that way. Just wanted to straighten if needed. Thanks for anyone’s help.

Steve - I think it's supposed to be straight. My truck is at my warehouse so I can't check, but this is a picture from when I took the front clip off. GPK 1961

Looks like someone buggered that up. Maybe to make some space for a bracket. Maybe bumped something with the bumper and wrinkled some. Should not be like that.

Well - now that you mention and because it shows the entire piece - you can notice a small dimple on on drivers side third. Trajectory shows the slug was headed upwards a bit. I need to get a better picture.
Bought the surround used and I chose to keep the history (unknown) intact.

It is supposed to be straight. Neither my '63 nor '62 had a bend like that. They were both straight.

Hambone, It would be fun to know that story. :-)
