Here's the view from my living room window. [flic.kr]. It's about 20 degrees now, with a cold front moving in tonight. It snowed 4-5 inches with +20 mph winds. Low temps will hover around zero with windchill values well below zero. The extended forecast calls for more of the same........

Come on Spring!

As much as I love my home state and the tiny community I lived in in far Northwest Iowa. I sure am glad that we moved to the St. Louis area when I was a child. I’m even happier today because as an older adult I get to spend the winter in Florida. I love the snow as long as it’s not in my driveway or the streets, but the cold, you guys can have that garbage... joe

Looks like a good day to lay around the house and read.
We didn't even get enough the turn the grass white.
Saturday may be a different story though when the artic air moves in.
Got a good bit of hard wood stacked up for next week and may get some more split up tomorrow to add to the stack.
Will also need a day next week to put the dock deicer in the lake.
Generator is also ready to fire up if needed.

I have not looked out most of the day but we got some flurries this afternoon. To be in the upper 20s tonight. The last snow is still lingering the most we have for 5 or 6 years. A little icy in the morning. I have only been out twice this week once for lunch with a friend and yesterday for my annual checkup with the Urologist. I have to go out tomorrow to pay off the lease on the Buick. I have to pay the residual then all the made-up fees that they slap on. The dealership was just bought out this week. It was owned by the same family since the 50s or longer. The new owner's Father owns a bunch of different brands in Indy and he owns a couple and also wants to add the local Chevy dealership.

Ah yes, Iowa.
I remember crossing the border into Iowa one day.
The Welcome sign said, "Welcome To Iowa. Hope You Brought Something To Do."
Maybe I should move there. I would get more done on my trucks.

I grew up near Sioux City which lies in three states: N. Sioux city is in South Dakota, S. Sioux City is in Nebraska, and Sioux City is in Iowa. Then I went even further north to school in Minnesota and left all immediately upon graduation. Now it take all of three minutes to shovel my way through the 50 yards of sunshine to my shop door.

There are more nation forest equestrian trails down here Andy! Not much flat ground either.
Heck, William Woods College in Fulton is an equestrian school.
Tell Terrie that. And a lot of nice curvy roads great for two wheels.
