Finially got my Craftsman bottom tool cabinet in. It was on back order for 3 weeks. I left the casters off so I can still open my electric panel above the tool chest. Lined the cabinet drawers with Kobalt liner. Just about rounding out my tool box collection. Just need one more tall cabinet to replace the wooden one at the entrance to the garage.

I'm not a great fan of Crapsman tools any more. They've gone for low price instead of the high quality that they used to stand for. I have a junk Crapsman table saw, miter saw and chain saw in my garage. Any more they're on par with Harbor Freight quality wise.

I hear ya. My tools are the old Craftsman and some Thorsen. good quality. The new tool boxes are pretty average but they are heavy or maybe I'm to old and can't lift as much as I use to be able to. I grew up always going to the Sears store the they handled Craftsman and Black & Decker.

At this stage of my life I would never remember which tool box had the tool I needed?

I just bought a 3-drawer Craftsman intermediate cabinet. Seems as good quality as my older Craftsman lower cabinet. I had to move the cabinet I had bolted to the wall above it up to clear also. Now I need a step stool to get to the top of the wall cabinet. ohwell

I worked for Sears for 11 years and it still sticks in my mind to but their tools. They sold Roebuck jeans for years, made in Texas I think and they were great, fit great wore great and a good price, not anymore. Great looking garage.

I have a couple Craftsman boxes. 12 drawer rollaway and a 12 drawer chest. Purchased them in 1976 and haven't worn them out yet.

Bought a top and bottom Craftsman tool cabinet about 10 years ago. Next day I stopped by
my buddie's house and saw the MasterCraft tool cabinets he had just bought.
Next morning I loaded the Craftsman boxes in the truck and took them back for a refund.
The MasterCraft were much heavier in their construction, mush nicer workmanship, had
better smoother slides and the casters were three times the size and capacity of the Craftsman.
A couple of weeks later I went back and bought another set.

Denny, do you mean Masterforce? I have a set of them as well. Very good boxes for the money. I bought mine from Menards 9 or 10 years ago. I also have a couple Kennedy machinist chest's and a rollaway that I have at work. All good tool boxes. The only complaints I have wood be the wheels on both the Craftsman and Masterforce.
