1965 Chevrolet C10
Instrument panel, with gauges

Hi folks.

I had to take out my instrument panel, to get get behind it to fix some wiring.

I put it all back together and I guess I'm putting some of the dash bulbs in the wrong places.

Does anyone have a layout of where what goes?

Especially the high beam light, I found the light, it works when I hold it against the panel body and flip the beam switch, but not when I put it in the panel, so... either, wrong hole or some other shenanigans are going on.

I've taken this thing out several times, usually I just move 'em around until I find it, but I'm at a loss this time.

Maybe I was just tired when I got done. grin

Anyway, thought I'd ask.

Thanks

-Woog

I’m thinking the wiring diagram is in the 1965 supplement. Do you have the supplement?

Yes, I have the 63 shop manual and the 65 supplement.

If interested, I made a post "Dash Gauges Made to Gauge Again" over in Electrical Bay documenting the refurbishing of my 66 C10 dash gauges.

The hole for the bright light indicator is inline, just below the 20 mph mark on the instrument panel, with gauges.

on the user side, it is a small dark rectangle.

The hole for the bulb is back there, there is another bulb hole nearby, so you may have to plug and play a bit.
