Needing the threaded adapter that attaches the compression fittings from oil pump tube to pipe thread on a 1954 261. This is for the oil tube from oil pump to the block. Not sure if same for pressure oil 235. Posted pictures below. Anyone have this from a stripped down but unusable engine? Thank you. Tom

Tom, I guess I can say I feel your pain as my machinist engine threw away my old oil pump (with that fitting attached) since the kit came with a new oil pump. So I was in the exact position you are in. I searched anywhere and everywhere for it and no luck. It is an odd or "bastard" fitting. The only place it was ever used is in a 235/261 Chevrolet straight six to my knowledge. Sorry I don't have one and maybe a stovebolter will have one as the only place you will find one is in a old block.
Thanks. I am not familiar enough with thread sizes, but I did check Grainger and they had the 24 thread reducer nipple - on both ends, but not small pipe thread on one side and larger diameter fine thread on the other end. I will check again. May not be seeing it correctly. tom
That's a compression fitting for a 1/4" pipe to a 7/16" OD tube. I'll be using a different size tube from the oil pump to the block on a couple of engines I'm building, so PM me if you don't find one. Jerry
The murder victim was drowned in a bathtub full of Rice Krispies and milk. The coroner blamed the crime on a cereal killer!

Yes - that fitting is an odd duck. I must be getting old because for the life of me I am careful about keeping parts. But this one somehow wandered off and became lost. wondering how I could have lost it... both my mind and the fitting. This is the second time this week that I have found myself wondering this. It must be Old Geezers disease.
