If you are serious about it, someone start a pm to include the known geezers and me and we can get that started. We can set up it up so only those we invite can see it and join in. Like the Moderators only forum ... Ooops, did I let that cat out of the bag ... ?

Tiny ... a Stovebolt Geezer can either be a "Steezer" or a "White Beard" ... I think those of us in the 50-69 age bracket are only "Grey Beards" or "Geezer Apprentices."

You make a good point. A year and a half ago I had a health scare and spent my first ever night in the hospital since being born in one. Got through that OK and doing fine. 3 months after that I turned 70. Still no big deal, but then the mind games started. It suddenly occurred to me that my Dad never made it to 71. He missed it by 3 months. Well I got past that and turned 71 in August. For the most part I feel just as good now as I did 2 years ago, but something is different. I tend more often now to regard myself as an old man--something I really didn't do before--and to think and act accordingly. So attitude does matter.

At 72 I am the oldest male in my family including 1st cousins. I now have out lived my dad but not my Grampa who lived to 80.
I had a scare 2 1/2 years ago with that big tumor..10 1/2 lbs. I'm back at 99.9% and plan to go to 100 like Denny Graham.
Attitude is what keeps me going, I feel like I did at 50. I won't join the Senior group at my church because they all act old.

A geezer forum? as long as it doesn't focus on what meds everyone is taking and when your last colonoscopy was I am in favor.
