Funny how making one of them old trucks come back to life can make you feel so good! Unfortunately most of the old 216's I attempted were beyond saving.

I watch a lot of the cold start videos and it amazing how ill-prepared they are when going to try and start an old car or truck. I know how some feel about starting fluid but carb cleaner can work as well and dissolve some of the grime.

Cold starts/ first starts and junkyard rescues are some of my favorite YouTube videos. I agree with you WE b OLD that some seem unprepared, and even unconcerned that it might be damaged by their efforts. Some don’t even pull the dipstick. And some start them without coolant and/or oil for the fun of watching them blow up. https://youtu.be/v0thsG1v6w8

I got as far as watching that idiot destroying a scarce 3/4 ton brake drum with an angle grinder and had to turn it off! Did he ever gEt it running?
