I developed a good friendship with a fellow bolter that goes by 54 3600. He lives , per his profile, near Jersey Beach, New Jersey. I've PM'd him as well as sent emails and not a peep. Last time we communicated via email, he stated he wasn't well. As one might expect on a forum we didn't ever share much personal information beyond our love of old Chevy trucks and only know him as George. Maybe someone else knows him and can perhaps provide some positive information about his status.

That is the inherent downside of "Imaginary internet friends". If I were to kick the bucket tomorrow, there would be no way for anyone to know why I stopped posting. (That would likely bring great relief to some, however.)

I only Facebook with relatives and the main reason living alone nobody would know if something happened unless I was not posting for a while.

I hope he is just temporarily offline. George was a master at finding NOS parts.

He last logged on in June. We last emailed each other on 7-18-20, he'd said he was having some difficulties health wise. George had spent quite a lot of time helping me with information and photos of original truck parts and overhaul manuals. Never met, we spoke on the phone once or twice. Of course I changed phones and lost contact information so there you have it. Yep, it felt like we were kindred spirits. Hope he's fine.

I think its great that many of us have developed a sense of kinship/friendship and belonging and all because of trucks! I very much enjoy reading the posts where the difference of opinions and methods get passionate, then one of the Moderators steps in and "separates the kids" ( some of us are old "kids"). Anyone hears anything about George, please pm me.
