I saw this article in Tech Tips, I'd be interested in any Tips or Suggestions from anyone who's done this mod.

I've seen a couple guys modifying fenders to remove this feature. You may have luck in finding someone willing to trade fenders...?

If you want to do it I have a rear fender with the spare tire cut out. I'm not going to use it. I saw this article in Tech Tips, I'd be interested in any Tips or Suggestions from anyone who's done this mod. It's yours if you want to haul it off.

Thanks for the replies guys, Redline, I see you're in Pasadena, I'm in Clear Lake. I hadn't yet decided if I was going to do this, didn't want to cut my fender. You're suggestion (and location) would be the easiest. What would you like for it and could I maybe see it tomorrow? Thanks, Jim

Keep in mind that if you go with an original fender with the dent made in it, you will only be able to fit an original sized tire on the factory mount.

I guess you could use spacers to move a larger tire outwards (as long as you can still use attachment nuts)?
