 Water pump age

I am wondering what the age is of the water pump on my 56 235. The numbers on it are: 3736567 and below that: GM 15. The pump seems to run fine; engine stays cool and no leakage from the weep hole. Just curious if there is any way to tell if this is the original pump or not.
Thanks, Lee.

Since water pumps used to get recycled, ("rebuildable core") there's no telling how many times that basic casting might have been rebuilt. Jerry

Okay, thanks Jerry. I wouldn’t think it could have lasted this long as the original, but I wasn’t sure.
