Buying them is better than fabbing them. At least I gave your want ad a bump.

Buying them is better than fabbing them. At least I gave your want ad a bump. You'd need a special shop to fab one of those. I only need the right side support now. MNSmith is sending me the left one. If anyone has the right side support, I'll happily pay you for it.

You'd need a special shop to fab one of those. Nah, All I'd need is a torch, hammer and anvil, and a vise. Not that hard. Glad you're getting what you need. Good on Mark for helping out.

Interesting. There are no markings on mine that I can see.

How 'bout it? Anyone got a ride side hood support that they can spare? Mark is graciously sending me the left one gratis. He even sandblasted it for me. All I need now is the right one, and my truck will be "complete" (after twenty or so years.)

Thanks to kades51, I now have both supports on the way. Thanks so much Stovebolt. I've been meaning to take care of this for quite a while, and it only took week to get what I needed.

Kevin I have a 54 3604. It wasn't clear until after I had cleaned them up and repainted them. I had previously tagged them so I wouldn't get them mixed up. Take a look at the FAM , section 11, sheet 4, shows that the end of Brace Rod stamped L or R assemble to hood lock. Mine were stamped right where that arrow shows. Glad baldeagle was able to locate a set. Yea Team!
