1954 fender gasket's

Hello all starting to assemble my 1954 chevy 3100 1/2 ton . Can't remember any gaskets or fender welt between front fender and cowl panel. Same with back fender and bedside can anyone advise THANK YOU IN ADVANCE OPEN TO ALL IDEALS THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe there was any welting on the rear fenders but it may be a good idea to put something there to prevent squeak. The fronts had a gasket with no bead at the rear where fenders met cab. Not sure what if anything was between inner fenders and fenders.

No fender welt on the rear but I added it for the reason as stated above.

There is fender welt on the front and also a gasket set for the inner fenders is sold by most of the vendors (8-piece set, inner fender seals).

Look for heavy duty staples or the holes where they used to be in the inner fenders. That will tell you where the seals go.

I bought a 25' roll of the welt that they use on VWs. There was enough to do all 4 fenders. You have to make V shaped cuts in it to get around the bends.
