Wanted a complete shifter kit for a 1952 chevy 1/2 tn with bench seat. Patrick's used to sell this for the saginaw 4 speed. Maybe someone can even let us know what we can buy to fit. This is Lou Abel @ abels classics //

The T5 transmission modification/installation has almost killed the interest in doing a 4 speed Saginaw.
As far as I know, there are no new shifter kits for sale.

eBay item number:123546094122. $$$. Seller will not sell shifter separately.
eBay item number:273697786795. Shifter only. Unknown supplier. Make your own rods, shift stick and bracket.

If you are good at fabrication, make your own parts and modify a Hurst shifter.
If you are successful, please be kind enough to share drawings, dimensions and pictures with this forum.

My Dad was a dealer for Patrick's...

That 4 speed Saginaw four speed shifter and linkage...

Nightmare...linkage arms not correct...

I think I still have a brand new never used...

But due to the nightmares of it.

Not going to sell it to anyone.....

Thanks for the info. Do you know if on the 235 engine if you can take the rockers and shaft from a 1961 engine and put in a 1955 235 engine?

The rockers are different. You can read all about it HERE [chev235guy.blogspot.com]. You should have started a new thread in the Driveline forum. You would reach much more people.

Lou, James just posted above that the "linkage arms are are not correct". He means they were not correct as originally sold by Patrick.

Here are pictures that show torque tube conversion AND shifter kit.
https://talk.classicparts.com/threa...rst-shifter-unit-and-the-3-levers.12683/

The Patrick's shifter kit is for those who want the shifter stick to be in the same hole location as the original stick.
If you are not that particular, there are Hurst truck shifter kits and Hurst bench seat sticks you can buy but you have to cut a new cover hole.

I only responded Lou then I told him he should have posted in the Driveline forum. I will delete if you want me too, but then Lou won’t get the info and link I posted.
