Hello all,

Anyone close to Mar-K Enterprises in Oklahoma City? I have a set of 7 bed strips 116" long that I need transported... Freight charges by the company are astronomical @ $328.00. The strips will cost me $189.00 If someone could pick up from there and take to Greyhound or Fastenal it could have them for next to nothing here... Can anyone help? Thank you.

I feel your pain, I bought a bunch of stuff for my 64GMC longbed from MAR-K, they usually ship through FeD X. I was surprised it was over $400 to the northwest but it came on a pallet and nothing was damaged, I had a complete set of side mouldings too. I paid shipping with MAR-K then got a bill from FedX for an additional $75 owed because they had to use a power tail gate on their truck. FEDX= robbery.

I completely understand, that is why I hope to find some help here...Sorry, but I cannot afford $328.00 plus additional charges to get something that fits inside a 4" cardboard tube!

You guys should try getting stuff shipped to Alaska if you think Washington and Florida are expensive. big_eek
That's one of the reasons I planned a road trip last year to pickup a bunch of stuff at Jim Carter and Mar-K for my project. Yeah, I spent a bunch of money on fuel, but it was entirely worth it. Even the USPS is crazy expensive. AND they misroute packages on a regular basis. A small package of hardware got rerouted out to Aniak because some dyslexic at the PO misread the Zip code as 99557 instead of 99577. Took an extra week to get to me, even though it went thru Anchorage (only 15 miles from home.)

I completely get it... Very frustrating! I am looking at a place in SC, Trucks USA LLC in Abbeville, much better than Oklahoma City!
