Just curious if anyone knows if there was a 47 -54 grill that was made of stainless steel originally on a chev or gmc truck .

I have never heard of a GM SS grill for a 1954 Chevrolet truck.

RPO 393 - Chrome Equipment [chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com] (Chrome Grill, Front Bumper, and Hub Caps)

Stainless Steel Wheel Caps (full wheel/rim covers) were a 31XX accessory in 1954/55st.

A Chrome Radiator Grill was available as an RPO in some earlier non-Korean-Conflict Advance-Design years.

1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic [1954advance-design.com] - part of the family for 15 years

- The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler. [chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com]

I always thought the grille on my 54 looked like stainless in that it would not rust and had very low magnet adhesion but MT insisted there was no such thing so I just decided it was the way it ages that had given it that look.
