The engine I pulled out of my 1953 2 ton Dump truck has an ID number Ub14539. The block was made from 1950-1952 and has the casting number 3835692. found out about the block from oldchevytrucks.com. Can someone let me know if the engine number is correct for a truck? Thank You.

Welcome to the Stovebolt madness. There is no cure! shake

The Welcome Center is not the best place for asking questions. Your particular question would be better placed in the Engine Shop Forum.

Please revisit your stamped ID number, from 1946 through 1953 there was never a model year "U" (first letter in the serial number). And it your second letter is a "B" there could also be a third letter and then the unit number...
