I have 66 long bed fleetside the build sheet has a code of HA for the rear axle. I need to identify if it is
a 10 bolt or 12 bolt rear axle. I want to change the 3.73 ratio to a 3.08 ratio. I have a new 350 engine.

A 12 bolt should look like this.
I measured 3 different trucks, and the measurements were all the same.
PS: The shock mounts are on backwards on the rear axle in the pics. Not sure who did that.

General Purpose
The 3.73 Is the holy grail ratio. It is the perfect ratio for acceleration and hiway. That is why it was the standard diff. Thousands of folks looking for that rear end to buy for their swaps, hot rods and etc. A nice ratio.
HA may indicate 3.73 with positraction.
