Last night I was watching the old TV show combat and it was very interesting. They had pfcs Lawson who was very reckless and thought he would get killed because his Dad was killed in ww2 and his Grandfather was killed in the Spanish American war and so on. It sounded just like Lt. Dan in Forresr Gump and. It got me to thinking if that is where they had the idea for the Lt. Dan back story? Dave

Yup, when I was a kid I enjoyed Vic Morrow as the Sargent. Because of this show the neighborhood (few) spent many an hour at the Army Navy surplus store. My son wants it all for his collection of militaria. Former Marine and now two times running the best sniper shot in U.S. law enforcement. Doc.
