Greetings and thank you for allowing me to join the conversation. I bought my ‘46 about two months ago. Not much history. I found her on eBay and it was love at first sight. She appears to have been restored 15-20 years ago. Since then a lot of small things have fallen into disrepair. I’ve rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt/restored the horns, replaced the radiator, had the vacuum wiper motor rebuilt and a few other things. The next project is the engine mounts need some attention. Anyway, I’m really glad I stumbled into the StoveBolt.

Welcome to the Stovebolt, BusyBolter. Congrats on your "new" pickup. Sure looks nice. Lot goes on around here so visit often and get to know the guys. Everyone willing to help when needed. Any questions just ask in the most appropriate garage forum and we'll do the rest.

I see your in Va. and there are quite a few regular bolters from your area so be on the lookout for them.
(wish I'd have kept my 46..which was back in the mid 80's)

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome!
VERY nice truck! I grew up on a '46 1 ton pickup. I've always liked that style.

Thank ya’ll for the kind words and warm welcome. The Winchester show is just over the hill from here and I hope to meet ya’ll there. To Glenn, I’m planning to make her my daily driver (except snow days). I’m retired and don’t have to go far or get there in a hurry.
