Yes sir, I keep my eyes on him for sure. He wants to trailer his truck back to Virginia next year for the reunion! If he gets his new 261 rebuilt and installed I’m sure he will do it, wife onboard or not! LOL

Chuck, the Reunion is in KC every September at the Midwest All Truck Nationals. It was canceled this year due to the virus crap.
The Homecoming should be next April, just outside of Lexington Virginia.
I hope to make that and maybe a Kiwi riding shotgun!

Don, I guess I called it wrong..... he wants to go to the homecoming event. If he goes I might ride shotgun. Would really enjoy meeting some of the ‘bolters from up that way.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Two weeks ago I cut a bunch of limbs out of some oak trees in my backyard. Finally today I had a chance to load them into the old truck and haul them to the brush collection center about 20 minutes away. I unloaded and on the way out I noticed a sign...... “Free Compost” so after I paid out I circled back around to get some. The fellow in the loader asked ‘How much?”. I told him to dump until she started squattin’ pretty low. Turns out he loaded me with 800 lbs of compost. I made it back home just fine without a bit of trouble. No strain at all. Now to unload it!

Even though I have a/c in my 54 I have never used it except to run it for a short time to lubricate it. The weather had been the upper 90s last week it cooled for to the mid-70s do have been driving 54 more for errands. The local Tuesdays meet and greet is on a blacktop parking lot so I have not been this summer. I know everyone likes for their classic to be saluted but I always like to acknowledge the wave but with the tinting and anti-glare on new car and truck windows, it is hard to tell if they waved until it is too late.

Made 3 more trips to the brush collection site to get more compost Sunday. Total amount hauled including the one trip Saturday was appx. 4,000 lbs. The truck never stumbled or acted like it was straining, even with the old worn out 216 motor with over 101K miles on it. Handled the load easily. Got several honks, thumbs-up, and one fella who talked to me while at a red light. Finished spreading the compost about 8:30 pm. I was more tired than the truck.

That Volvo loader was awesome. I'd love to drive it!!

Took the 37 on a 100 mile round trip to a cruise in in a small town today, the rattley 235 made it with no problems and wondering how many trips like this that engine has left in it.
