While this meter is generally thought of more in the marine, aviation, construction equipment fields, I (and others) like to keep count of the number of hours on auto engines, too...especially on older vehicles. Hours operated plus mileage driven provides average speed, travel patterns...several things if you're of a mind to use the data. This high quality German made 12v hour meter isn't re-settable and can be used to monitor hours used on nearly anything with a bit of imagination. This is a model HK07 (10 91 date). It has a positive lead, a negative lead and the yellow lead disables the counting process (if desired). One very positive aspect of this meter is that it (unlike the Chinese meters) does not require a battery and can't fail from lack of battery power. Plus if power goes out, the numbers are frozen and the data isn't lost. This 7 digit counter registers up to 99,999 hours and there are two red digits to the right which measure minutes. If desired it can be illuminated with a small bulb or a white LED if panel mounted. $25 shipped to any USA address. Info, dimensions, etc here:
