1937 gmc truck looking for dash brackets and what ever goes between the dash and fire wall that holds the front windshield regulator.

I believe the windshield regulator is held to the top of the dash by two bolts; no brackets or other pieces needed. The problem is it is very difficult to mount or remove the regulator without removing the dash first. On the Art Deco series (41-46) the regulator is relatively easy to access from under the dash but nearly impossible in the 37. Good luck,

If the GMC regulator and mounting is the same as Chevy the attached photo will be what to expect. I found it impossible to access the regulator without removing the dash. The two screws used to secure the regulator to the cab frame could not be reached otherwise. Removing the dash is also a hassle since it was apparently factory installed after the regulator. I was forced to make some small cuts at one of the bottom corners in order to get enough clearance.

Robert,
The strip is called the "tongue". It bolts to the window frame, not the cab. Jim Carter (and perhaps other vendors) have reproductions of the strip for sale.

Are you asking about the part shown in 46Sparky's photo, shiny with square holes? If not, what part do you mean?

cover the shiny square holes and the regulator. it's the rusty color metal brace that the regulator bolts to in the picture

I don't understand your first sentence. The regulator is bolted to the cab structure, not a separate brace. That area is covered by the dash when the dash is attached.

the truck I got does not have the rusty color part. on the cab center there is a grove cut for the regulator and 3 hole on left side and 3 holes on the right side it's like there should be that part in the picture that goes there.
