I picked up a square body C10 last week. The fender badges are some type of plastic that is supposed to have two tabs going through two holes in the fenders. Those tabs are sheared off. I'm wondering if two sided carpet tape would work. Truck is a 1986 Chevy.

You might try this. [amazon.com]. I used to hold my cell phone on my truck dash, metal, and also my Buick textured dash. Very stick but can be taken off and cleaned and reused. It is available in roll form and pieces like shown. Most likely Youtube videos are out there on the stuff. At parts stores, they have auto trim tape and it is used for the new install of trim.
