Looking for U joint assembly (Front yoke, rear yoke and ball housing) to put an SM420 into a '47 1/2 ton. These parts will fit '48 to '54 1/2 tons. Apparently, hen's teeth may be easier to find, but I though I'd post to see if anyone has any of these parts (particularly the front yoke) lying around. I have a torque tube from a later 1/2 ton so SM420 transmission and torque tube length should not be a problem. Thanks.

It is an older ad, so if you're interested I would call soon.

The transmission has the rear bearing retainer cover for the torque tube and what looks like a 1/2 ton front yoke w/attaching bolt.
Maybe the guy would make a deal for both.
All can do is ask, the worst he can say is no.

All you would need after that would be rear yoke, trunnion & ball housing with 4 bolt hole ball collar.

Check 2nd picture from the left shows a SM420 with a retainer cover for torque tube.
Can't see if there is a front yoke.

I found the parts I need. Now the fun begins to get the transmission rebuilt. Thanks for your input.

where did you find the parts? I need a U-joint assembly, specifically the front pinion yolk for a 4 speed 1/2T. This is for a torque tube application. any help would be appreciated. See image.

I searched Craigslist and found a guy selling a transmission for a good price. I didn't want to pay to ship a transmission from Florida to northwest Washington so I paid for the whole transmission and the seller agreed to ship the parts I needed which fit in a USPS medium-size, flat-rate box. This worked as the transmission was relatively cheap.
