semi-fluid grease available if anyone is interested (PM please). The 00 grease is essentially the same consistency as the NLA GM steering gear grease, as Tim pointed out, and it's a grade more fluid than the J-D Corn Head grease. The Chevron Delo product is designed for industrial gearboxes, and specifically for those that may have seal leakage issues with gear oil. Mobil, Shell, and others have similar products, but all of them come in a minimum size of a 5 gallon (35 lb) pail, like the Chevron grease. Which is why I have excess beyond my needs that I can provide...
In any event, NLGI 2 chasis grease is not recommended, as it will channel (develop air pockets) and may not flow to the bearings.
