Just got completed cleaning my grandfather’s first tool box! He bought it in 1949. It contains his first craftsman socket set as well.

That's cool. thumbs_up
I just cleaned up a 1/4" drive Craftsman Socket set that belonged to my dad. I didn't recognize the logo, but did a little research and found that they were from the Craftsman "BE" era Made by New Britain, and older than me. A couple of the sockets were more modern replacement "Plomb" brand.
They're just like the ones shown on Figures 28 and 29 of this page. [alloy-artifacts.org]. Browse around that site for lots of info on Craftsman tools.

Klhansen,

I’ll post more pictures later. I have a bunch of BE stuff and H stuff.
