nanner hey guys Est2rad customs here
How do I adjust the adjusters on the brakes on my 50 gmc 450 big bolt
do I have to take the drum off or is there a way to get to to the adjusters thru the backing plate?
Then bleeding the brakes- mine looks like it has 2 wheel cylinders on each side, one on top and it looks like one on the bottom????
Looks like only one each side on the front
I haven looked yet
I figured it would be easier to ask and do it right the first time
than to not ask and do it wrong lol!
So can you help me? if you got pics would be great. Thanks

Are there any access holes in the backing plate to allow for adjustment, probably covered up to keep dirt out. Px of backing plate would help.

Hy Est2rad customs, are we talking about a brake system that has been opened or had parts replaced? If the system you are working on actually has two wheel cylinders at each rear wheel then there should be adjustment slots in the brake backing plate to turn the adjusters (providing they are not frozen)

Ok good to know if the drums aren't that hard to get off
probably should check the condition of the shoes
and the cylinders for leaks
If it has a hex head thier should be an adjustment hole with
a rubber grommet I would think
This is my first big truck and thier is alot of stuff that's so much different
On them pluse every thing ways a tone lol
Thanks again how do I post a pic to this post

Click on the "Use Full Editor" at the bottom of the box when replying to a post (or edit your post). Then at the bottom is an "Attachment Manager"
Also look on the left side of the screen (assuming you're not on a mobile device) for full instructions.

I just bought and used a vacuum bleeder on my 1940 big bolt. It makes it an easy one man job.
