Here is my 1949 3100 that I just brought home from CT last month. It was fully restored to factory specs in 1991-1992. Still has the original 216. I previously owned a 1955 Ford F-100 that I restored but modified, so I plan on keeping this all original. I want to work on it along the way with my grand kids and then let it to them once they are older and can appreciate it. So far, we cleaned it up, new brake wheel cylinders, brake shoes, brake drums, front wheel bearings, thermostat & hoses, heater core, vacuum advance, dist cap/rotor, plugs/wires, adjusted valves, and replaced points with Pertronix.
Last photo is from 1991 prior to restoration. Originally came from Iowa, sold to Texas, sold to Connecticut, sold to PA (me). I have a copy of all the titles.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
