Well I can tell you this, if y'all woulda had a widow open, 3 States away, you coulda heard my wife screaming the other day when she overheard a phone conversation about me buying another truck. No worries though. I am known for, on a pre-emptive basis, to purposely screw up in a semi-major way every couple of months to give the little lady something to crow about, leading to her leaving me pretty much alone about the minor things for a couple of months. I did tell her that she is right. I should give up my truck building hobby and go back to my womanizing and drunkardly ways. She didn't laugh near as much as I had hoped. Maybe got an extra month of nit picking reprieve out of that one though.

Carl, this brave admission with some truths, half-truths, outright lies (none but you know the real from the fabricated), has, IMHO, won you the title 'KING OF THE INTERNET' for a day. It was a great laugh and I thank you for it!

Good strategy Carl! That's the same one I use. My wife knew how I was before we started dating. So as long as the bills are paid and I'm not chasing or running the bars anymore, she lets me be. Plus, you can buy a lot of toys with the money you save from just working in the shop and not running.

This 1-ton stuff may all be a moot point...seems like we were miss led, the truck in question is NOT a 1-ton, it's a 3/4 ton... Mike B

Not so fast. The cab appears to have come from a 3/4 ton. Now there is the matter of the rest of the truck. THIS ISN'T OVER!
But if it is, I'm OK with that too. I've got bigger fish to fry. My wife is as mad as wet cat gettin' slung through a draft under a door big enough you could sling a dead cat through it. (No animals were harmed during this phraseology.) No wet cats were actually slung. The draft under the door is of the minimum size required for a dead cat to fit through, if one were to die of natural causes and slung in the general direction of said draft.
P.S. Snitches get stitches. You know who you are...

Measure the wheel base...125" = 3/4 ton, 137" = 1-ton. Mike B

Carl, if you're saying that you WANT me to prosecute you for something, I can certainly oblige. I was just trying to be friendly here. Anything in particular? We could start with metaphorical postmortem cruelty to felines (whilst merely *swinging* deceased felines in an attempt to illustrate abundance of something is actually an accepted and widely practiced ODSS recreational activity, launching felines in a postmortem state ballistically under partially open doors is an entirely different, and frowned upon, matter ... )
