Gents,
I'm starting to finalize the plan for Fredericksburg trip on 20 June. I need your input since I'm still learning the area. This is family friendly! The local C10 club has trucks joining us.
Link up: HEB at 281/1604
Time: 0900 (does this sound right?)
We will be driving on back roads through luckenbach, TX, stop in Fredericksburg for lunch and good company, then head back.
Lunch: currently debating picnic at the park.

Finally, need to get confirmation as to who wants to go. If you want to link up on the route or meet us there, make a post and we can coordinate.

Chris

Hi Chris, I plan to join this day cruise. 9 AM is OK but it’s going to be hot, so I’m open to leaving earlier if everyone else wants to. Leaving earlier would put us in Fredericksburg with time to walk around and window shop a little before lunch. You’d really enjoy it if you’ve never been there before. Now that COVID-19 restrictions have relaxed a bit I’d really like to have lunch at Mamacita’s Mexican restaurant on Main Street. Nice place, friendly staff, and great food! If others don’t want to eat in a restaurant we could all pack a lunch and have a picnic under some shade at the city park. Either way is fine with me.

Also, just a reminder that my truck is all original so it doesn’t go fast. Both me and the truck like going 40-45 mph. I’m a lot more relaxed and I don’t bounce around as much when I go that speed. I also enjoy the scenery a lot more at that pace. I’m more than happy to bring up the rear on this 138 mile round trip.

It was a fun day for sure! We should do it again in November when the weather turns cooler.

Chuck, I think we should drive closer to Austin and get a crew from up north to come down!
