You can buy a "generic" trail cam and buy a cheap memory card reader for your Android phone. That makes it pretty foolproof and you won't need any proprietary trail cam phone apps.

SimS  . Last night I decided not to bother but I got up this morning and the base of the hummingbird feeder was on the ground and the lid was off the seed feeder. I will look into the whole thing again. Besides, it might be fun to see what goes through my back yard. It is fully enclosed but there are gaps under the wood part which I left so rabbits can go through. Unfortunately, my smartphone is smarter than me. So I am sure there will be some frustration rants. This is the one I am considering. [ amazon.com]. If I read it correctly it has a playback function. I watched a review of the 4 cheapest from Amazon and the guy said from his observation they were made by the same company.

I installed an outside light that is motion-sensitive and while sitting in my family room the light came on so I looked out and a raccoon was waddling its way toward the bird feeder. I tapped on the window and it scooted away. But I willing to bet it will be back.

How big are the racoons in Indiana? The racoons in Louisiana won't turn on a motion light.

Got up this morning and the bird feeder was ok. About 10 AM I ran some errands and stopped to see a friend. Sat in my favorite chair looked to my left and noticed the feeder was gone. It was screwed on to a PVC pipe so when I got to get a better look it was still there but just out of my line of sight. I am thinking that the squirrel slipped off the top and got tangled in the wire I had screwed to the lid to keep it from being removed and dangled there until a screw gave lose and pulled the top off.
