I want some comments about the Serial No./VIN Plate and the Serial No. Apparently not original!! Do you suppose that is a state assigned VIN? Or just made up?

Okay, I see that TVS = 1950 6100S. (6100 Special?). http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/chevyresto/5052.htm
So, someone got a title to a 2-ton truck and used it for a pickup??

That is a car ID plate with a big truck code on it?

"its a "roller"?

3104 originally?

The reproduction tag looks to be glued on over the original tag (held on with the correct Clutch Head/Hex screws)...a State issued "homemade title" would be more appropriate.

I noticed that too Mike. On my phone I cannot clearly read what’s stamped in the Model space. Is it 3100? Anyone?
Any buyer who lives in a state that requires VIN verification will have a lot of trouble with that.
Thanks.

One more comment and I will let this go. I could not look at that mess every time I drove it. Seeing it is the speedo you would be viewing it often.

Thanks Brad, everyone. It’s a cobbled up mess for sure. But after 70 years, many of them are.
And from what I see on Craigslist and eBay too many sellers don’t know what they have... Or they do. 😎
I’m done.

What a hilarious mess somebody made here. Typical of rat rods, except even the rats would run from this one.
