- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler. []

I drove the Dodge version when I worked for a dealer. Corvairs are leakers and my brother in law has had a myriad of issues with his 64. He stopped by yesterday and was driving it which surprised me because he had not found the leak. He got under it doing something else and noticed a leak around one of the pan bolts and check them all and they were all loose. Problem solved for now.

Company I worked for in 1966 to 1969 had one of those and used it only in the city (very low mileage). When it ran it was ok, but it spent a lot of time being repaired and the repairs were all manner of things. It did leak. We parked it on the side in the dirt as a result. We decided it must have been a lemon. Nicer to drive than you might think, however...but hot in the cab in the summer.

I drove the original version back in 60 when I started out as a
parts runner for a Chevy dealership. We also had a 59 El Camino
for delivering parts.
Dang.....that was a loooong time ago!!!!
