My 1937 GC has a 39 216 and I was reluctant to post these pictures for fear of extreme jealousy! Seriously, has anyone seen these vintage add-ons to help the old girl breathe better? They are stamped with patent pending (wonder how that went?) Soldered or leaded into place and stuffed full of Brillo pad like steel wool. Creativity at its best.
All you need in life is TIME, PATIENCE and MONEY. If you are missing one component, you'll need an abundance of the others two.
Those covers look cool, but I'm going to guess they will actually hinder, not help the crankcase ventilation. The air blast from the fan will create a low pressure area behind the add-on covers that will probably cancel out the vacuum created by the airflow past the end of the road draft tube. There will be little, if any flow from the valve cover, through the crankcase, and out of the draft tube like is supposed to happen. Jerry
The murder victim was drowned in a bathtub full of Rice Krispies and milk. The coroner blamed the crime on a cereal killer!
Cringe and wail in fear, Eloi- - - - -we Morlocks are on the hunt!
